Anti Aging Technique Knowledge Base
What anti-aging products/techniques should I use? I'm 20 years old, but may as well start preventing it now? I use a DHC concentrated eye cream that I really just like because it wakes my face up after washing it in the morning, but that is anti-wrinkles. Other than that I'm using Clean & Clear products for washing and moisturizing my face.
Skin care and anti aging techniques? i was wondering what are some great tools to help you keep your skin young and beautiful. preferably affordale and non invasive. Im talking supplements, creams, washes, anything and everything! the more, the better!
What are some tips for men to age gracefully? My dad is looking old and tired. I think if women have so many anti aging techniques, men should have some too. hes 60 now. I miss my younger handsome dad i once knew he doesnt smoke, he exercises, and he eats vegetables. but he still ages.
What happens to philosophy without death to drive it? Anti-aging science is a verifiable field. Scientists have discovered how to let mice live twice as long as usual, and it is a relatively short time before they bring these techniques to humans. Many expect that through the operation of reseting cellular age, it will be possible to allow a human to live indefinitely. Question: if this development becomes a reality - and there is no reason to think it couldn't - how will it effect our views of what life is and what it means, when so many philosophies are built on the basis that death is certain?
Skin and acne scars problem...? How can I help my 5-year old child self-regulate/calm himself down when upset? My child is a bright, happy, inquistive, playful child. He has many friends and it seems his peers find him fun to play with. He does have this anti-social behavior where when he's upset (someone takes a toy from him, or he feels he's been wronged in any way), he screams and cries intensely and loudly, sometimes for a while.) Aside from scaring the other children a little bit, he has a very difficult time calming himself down. When we're with him, we try to help him through it (telling him to take deep breaths, talk softly, etc.) but this doesn't seem to help. Almost every time he cries to us, "I can't calm down. I don't know how." He really has a hard time self-regulating. It usually takes some inventive distraction to get this to eventually pass. What can be done to help with both the intense reaction (most kids his age get upset for a second and then get past it) and calming techniques to help him work through it? I'm not so sure its as easy as he'll grow out of it?
What is the best way to get rid of the bags under my eyes? I have troubles sleeping, and have big grey bags under my eyes (highly unatractive). Even when i do get over 12 hours of sleep, theyre still there! I can't start taking naps during the day because I never have the time. Is there anything that can help them go away? If theres anything to make, buy, or any techniques to make them go away, please tell me and tell me where to get it or how to do it! Im so suick of them! Btw, coverup only makes them more noticable and im 12 so please do notsay anti age defier or whatever. And im NOT to young to worry about my looks like this so please dont say i shouldnt be trying anything im too young thank youuu :)
Does 1 Cor 3:18-20 promote anti-intellectualism for Christians? 1 Cor 3:18-20 reads: Do not deceive yourselves. If any one of you thinks he is wise by the standards of this age, he should become a "fool" so that he may become wise. For the wisdom of this world is foolishness in God's sight. As it is written: "He catches the wise in their craftiness"; and again, "The Lord knows that the thoughts of the wise are futile." I have heard these verses quoted as a reason for Christians not to study science, philosophy or other academic pursuits. It has also been quoted as a reason to not use real world managerial techniques and strategies in churches. A) What are your thoughts on this? B) Who makes the best spicy chicken sandwich? Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm Chicken!
Do I have Anti Social Personality Disorder? 1) I rarely experience guilt 2) I can manipulate people to do things they regret later like take their clothes off and dance for me (more extreme example) 3) when in this mindset, I exhibit a sort of eerie charm that people seem to enjoy and a kind of creepy dominance that makes people not want to fuck with me 4) if I'm not in this mentality, my social skills are horrible and I'm not dominant at all. I act have the urge to act overly silly and I'm kinda weird 5) I like to go clubing, not for sexual reasons, but for power. I love being able to turn a diva into a sexual dance freak who obeys my every command simply by using subtle body language techniques 6) I love the thrill of the moment when trying to manipulate someone. the reason I got into it is because it stimulates my brain in a way that something as boring and easy as school never does 7) my natural temperament is very idealistic and values driven which should go completely against the above traits (I'm an ENFP) 8) I'm capable of extreme empathy, except I don't actually care about what people are feeling, just what and why which I usually uncover effortlessly 9) I seduce women in the same way a pedifile seduces a child except way more advanced 10) I don't do anything that would hurt someone more than just being really embaressed. I've never abused someone physically, molested or raped someone, or forced someone to do something directly (these are against my values) 11) 99% of the time, people don't even know I've exploited them 12) for some reason, I tend to think people with ASPD and psychopaths are cool 13) I avoid relationships because I know I will mold their minds like play do 14) I can switch in and out of this mentality instantaneously 15) I know why I think the way I do (my intrapersonal intelligence is extremely high, but I have no desire to change because it's so much fun) 16) I'm gay and I convince straight dudes to take off their pants and dance around naked. gay dudes don't turn me on. and no one knows I'm gay 17) for some reason, I have very strong convictions about people who abuse people those weaker than them. I once almost killed someone for trying to beat up a little kid. as long as I don't physically injure or traumatize people though, I can fuck with people's minds all day 18) I have a soft spot for children (completely non sexual) and never mess with them. only my age and older 19) psychological disorders are supposed to be distressful to the sufferer and impede everyday life. I experience neither of these what do you think. do I need therapy?
What Happened to Our Dreams of Freedom? Individual freedom is the dream of our age. It's what our leaders promise to give us, it defines how we think of ourselves and, repeatedly, we have gone to war to impose freedom around the world. But if you step back and look at what freedom actually means for us today, it's a strange and limited kind of freedom. Politicians promised to liberate us from the old dead hand of bureaucracy, but they have created an evermore controlling system of social management, driven by targets and numbers. Governments committed to freedom of choice have presided over a rise in inequality and a dramatic collapse in social mobility. And abroad, in Iraq and Afghanistan, the attempt to enforce freedom has led to bloody mayhem and the rise of an authoritarian anti-democratic Islamism. This, in turn, has helped inspire terrorist attacks in Britain. In response, the Government has dismantled long-standing laws designed to protect our freedom. The Trap is a series of three films by Bafta-winning producer Adam Curtis that explains the origins of our contemporary, narrow idea of freedom. It shows how a simplistic model of human beings as self-seeking, almost robotic, creatures led to today's idea of freedom. This model was derived from ideas and techniques developed by nuclear strategists during the Cold War to control the behaviour of the Soviet enemy. Mathematicians such as John Nash developed paranoid game theories whose equations required people to be seen as selfish and isolated creatures, constantly monitoring each other suspiciously – always intent on their own advantage. This model was then developed by genetic biologists, anthropologists, radical psychiatrists and free market economists, and has come to dominate both political thinking since the Seventies and the way people think about themselves as human beings. However, within this simplistic idea lay the seeds of new forms of control. And what people have forgotten is that there are other ideas of freedom. We are, says Curtis, in a trap of our own making that controls us, deprives us of meaning and causes death and chaos abroad. [Information Liberation Editors Note: In typical Adam Curtis fashion he spins the issues to make the establishment seem like innocent dupes. In reality society is, and has always been, the product of social engineering by cunning behavioral control specialists. The control tactics and rhetoric have changed, but the agenda is still the same. "The conscious and intelligent manipulation of the organized habits and opinions of the masses is an important element in democratic society. Those who manipulate this unseen mechanism of society constitute an invisible government which is the true ruling power of our country.
Could My Emotionally Abusive Sexual Past Be The Cause of My Social Phobia? I find myself unable to get out of the house, scared of going to the grocery store, or even talking a walk. Could this be because I had sex at a young age (16), with a boy that did not care about me, at all. My question about "moving out" will make you understand what type of person I am. Is there any way I can change this? Any way I can be less anti-social? Some techniques to make that first step outside? Anyone else been through the same thing...how did you get through it?
Is the Bible 6,000 years old? 11/29/2001 -Six Thousand-Year-Old Earth (Topic#: 8540) When you are literally made out of words...literally...it's eternally critical that the words you live your life by are the correct ones. (For more information on this phenomenal secret click on to "Made Out of Words" on this site.) Over and over again this web site, www.godsaidmansaid.com, proves the veracity of the Authorized King James Version of the Bible. Every Thursday (God willing) we air a brand new subject that proves that God is and that His word is true. Psalm 119, Verse 105: Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. His word is the light of life. It never changes and is always correct. Build your "house" upon it. God's word is the solid rock. GOD SAID that He created the heavens and the earth in six literal days. When you track the genealogical record in God's Word you will discover that the earth is just over 6,000 years old. MAN SAID, "That's absurd! Every intelligent human knows that the earth is billions of years old. That's just another reason to discard that archaic Bible." Now THE RECORD. You have probably sat in a school classroom and heard or someone has said to you that the world is billions of years old or that bones have been discovered that are millions of years old. The next opportunity you have in such a setting ask the individual to prove it. If you find someone who attempts to prove their old age position, they will typically march out flawed circular reasoning or dating systems built up upon unprovable assumptions. The results of their dating systems have been proven wrong numerous times. The reason the anti-God group has never proven its position is quite simple and that is that their position simply isn't true. Keep in mind that proof is established by two or more reliable witnesses. Where are their witnesses? Recorded history goes back approximately 5,000 years and comes to an abrupt halt and the reason for that is obvious...there isn't much history prior to that point. Because the evolutionists have no recorded history of man prior to the 6,000 plus years declared in God's Word which is a reliable history book and witness, the anti-Bible groups have no witnesses to support their pre-6,000 years old claims. In order to debunk the authority of God's Word they created an armada of pseudoscientific theories and techniques designed to offset their lack of witnesses...their lack of proof. I mentioned earlier flawed circular reasoning. For example, if you asked the evolutionists to date a particular fossil they would certify its age by telling you what strata it was found in. And if you pursued and asked how you can tell the age of particular strata they would tell you by the age of the fossil found in it. That kind of sounds like the dog chasing its tail, doesn't it? I also mentioned erroneous dating techniques. Carbon-14 which is a dating technique used to date once living things is probably the dating system with the most notoriety. After a living thing dies it begins to decay and Carbon-14 decays back to Nitrogen-14. By measuring the levels of Carbon-14 left in the dead specimen a scientist estimates its age. The carbon-14 process has proven far from perfect. On numerous occasions Carbon-14 measurements have shown living things to be of ancient ages as well as attaching ages to dead things, of which their ages have been certified, far older than they actually are. Regarding radiocarbon dating, Dr. G. E. Aardsma, Chairman of the Astro/Geophysics Dept. of the ICR Graduate School, had this to say: At the present time it appears that the conventional radiocarbon dating technique is on relatively firm ground for dates which fall within the past 3,000 years. In spite of this 3,000 year limit, anti-creationists have thrown out ages of 70,000 years and more as a result of radiocarbon dating. Most, due to lack of real interest, are unaware there is a mountain of information to support a 6,000 year old earth. There are 107 scientific measurements alone that prove the earth to be young; scientific research concerning things such as population statistics and the fossil record to Helium in the atmosphere to erosion of the continents. Perplexing news concerning recent dinosaur bones unearthed in Alaska should have sent a lot of the old-earth proponents back to their bunkers to attempt to shore up their theories. According to the anti-Bible folks there was a huge catastrophe that killed off all the dinosaurs around 70 million years ago. M. Helder in a 1992 article titled, "Fresh Dinosaur Bones Found," published in Creation ex nihilo, Vol. 14, the following information was found: She could not accept that fresh (not permineralized, meaning unfossilized) dinosaur bones had been found in Alaska. Such bones could never have lasted 70 million years, she said. Unlikely or not, it is a fact that such bones have been found...How these bones could have remained in fresh condition for 70 million years is a perplexing question. One thing is certain: they were not preserved by cold. Everyone recognizes that the climate in these regions was much warmer during the time when the dinosaurs lived...Why then did these bones not decay long ago?...The obvious conclusion is that these bones were deposited in relatively recent times. Scientists at the University of Montana were shocked when they found T. rex bones that were not totally fossilized. Not only were the bones not fossilized but they appeared to have blood cells which would be impossible if they were millions of years old. The following is part of the report issued by the scientists: A thin slice of T. rex bone glowed amber beneath the lens of my microscope...the lab filled with murmurs of amazement, for I had focused on something inside the vessels that none of us had ever noticed before: tiny round objects, translucent red with a dark center...red blood cells? The shape and location suggested them, but blood cells are mostly water and couldn't possibly have stayed preserved in the 65-million-year old tyrannosaur. The bone sample that had us so excited came from a beautiful, nearly complete specimen of Tyrannosaurus rex unearthed in 1990...When the team brought the dinosaur into the lab, we noticed that some parts deep inside the long bone of the leg had not completely fossilzed...So far, we think that all of this evidence supports the notion that our slices of T. rex could contain preserved heme as hemoglobin fragments. But more work needs to be done before we are confident enough to come right out and say, "Yes, this T. rex has blood compounds left in its tissues." In another effort to make fossils speak in new ways, post-graduate student Mary Schweitzer has been trying to extract DNA from the bones of T. rex. Originally, like Kristi, she had intended to thin-section the bones and conduct a histologic investigation. But under the microscope there appeared to be blood cells preserved within the bone tissue. Mary conducted a number of tests in an attempt to rule out the possibility that what she'd discovered were in fact blood cells. The tests instead confirmed her initial interpretation. Author, popular lecturer and broadcaster Ken Ham weighed in with the following comment on this subject: These red blood cells provide excellent evidence that these fossils are not millions of years old, but are no more than a few thousand years old. Ancient historic accounts, the Bible and thousands of local sightings testify of dinosaurs and fiery flying serpents in recorded history. Even in this present day reports of dinosaur-like creatures exist. For example, in the publication Science Digest, 1981, and in Science Frontiers, number 3367, they recorded that explorers and native Africans reported sightings of dinosaur-like creatures. In the February 6, 1980, issue of the Australian Melbourne Sun it was reported that over recent years 40 people claimed to have seen plesiosaurs off the Victorian coast of Australia. For more exciting information about dinosaurs, click on to "Dinosaurs" on this web site. The earth's population also testifies of the earth's age. By taking the earth's present percent of population growth and taking into account the history of Earth's abnormalities and then by simply calculating backwards we should be able to get a bead on the age of our earth. In an article titled "Creation vs. Evolution" I found this following interesting calculation: Today the population grows at 2% per year. If we set the population growth rate at just 0.5% per year, then total population reduces to zero at about 4500 years ago. If the first humans lived 1,000,000 years ago, then at this 0.5% growth rate, we would have 10^2100 (ten with 2100 zeroes following it) people right now. If the present population was a result of 1,000,000 years of human history, then several trillion people must have lived and died since the emergence of our species. Where are all the bones? And finally, if the population was sufficiently small until only recently, then how could a correspondingly infinitesimally small number of mutations have evolved the human race? The earth's magnetic field also points to a very, very young earth. Scientists believe that the earth is a large electromagnet and the source of the magnetic field is probably a large electric current. In 1971, Dr. T. Barnes theorized that nothing keeps the earth going except its own inertia. Because it is not being refueled with energy the Barnes theory says that the current is running down slowly like a flywheel without a motor. Consequently the strength of the earth's magnetic field is decreasing. Since the first measurement of the earth's magnetic field in 1835, it has lost 7% of its strength. According to the Barnes model the strength of the magnetic field should decrease by a constant rate each year and the data is consistent with just such a decrease. Present data points to a magnetic field which has lost one-half of its force over the past 1,400 years. Following this line backwards it is clear to see that Earth's age should be measured in thousands, such as in 6,000, and not billions of years. Russell Humphreys, Ph.D., is an ICR Adjunct Professor of Physics and as of 1993, a physicist at Sandia National Laboratories in New Mexico. He had this to say: As measured by clocks on earth, the age of the universe today could be as small as the face-value biblical age of about 6,000 years. The earth is very young...6,000 years young and we can prove it. GOD SAID He created the earth in six literal days about 6,000 years ago. MAN SAID, "That's absurd." Now you have THE RECORD. If the Earth is 6000 years old, then why is it that the techniques used to date fossils, which are widely-? accepted ways of dating human bones, to bring killers to justice, are constantly being picked apart by those who believe in death penalty enforcement? I mean, if those dating techniques (to find the age of human bones) are so GREAT in helping to kill the killers, then how come they are quote- "made up" or "make believe" by all the so called "anti God evolutionists"???? Personally, I give God all the credit, and I think he created everything TO evolve. Thanks. Click on my name for the other questions pertaining to this. Thanks.
Zionists Seek to Silence Critics of US Policy Toward Israel, what do you think? As far as the Zionist establishment is concerned, the main enemy is not anti-Semitism, but anti-Zionism. Prominent Zionist groups and individuals in the US are conducting a campaign of intimidation against liberal and left-wing critics of the Israeli regime and Washington’s policy toward Israel. Tony Judt, a noted historian and the director of New York University’s Remarque Institute, was to have spoken in New York earlier this month at a meeting called by a nonprofit organization that had rented space from the Polish Consulate. After telephone calls from the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) and the American Jewish Committee, his lecture on “The Israel Lobby and US Foreign Policy” was cancelled barely an hour before it was scheduled to begin. Judt, a liberal academic who writes frequently for the New York Review of Books, was born and raised in Britain. He lost many members of his own family in the Holocaust, but has aroused the ire of the Zionist public relations machine because of his sharp criticisms of Israeli policies and his charge that the Israel lobby has stifled debate on the Middle East in the US. The modus operandi of Zionist organizations such as the ADL and the American Jewish Committee is by now a familiar one. “Inquiries” are made by one or another of these groups. The message is clear. As the Polish Consul General said in connection with the contacts made in regard to Judt’s scheduled appearance, “The phone calls were very elegant but may be interpreted as exercising a delicate pressure. That’s obvious—we are adults and our IQs are high enough to understand that.” Abraham Foxman of the ADL cynically insisted that he hadn’t requested that the event be shut down, but added, “I think they made the right decision.” He then spelled out the brazenly anti-democratic and thuggish attitude of himself and his organization toward anyone who criticizes Israel’s policies and Washington’s support for those policies. “He’s taken the position that Israel shouldn’t exist,” Foxman said of Judt. “That puts him on our radar.” To clarify his position toward Israel, Judt remarked, “The only thing I have ever said is that Israel as it is currently constituted, as a Jewish state with different rights for different groups, is an anachronism in the modern age of democracies.” The cancellation of Judt’s lecture is only one in a series of similar incidents. Judt was also forced to cancel another speech, at Manhattan College in the Bronx, on the topic “War and Genocide in European Memory Today,” after he was asked by the event’s sponsors to censor himself by avoiding direct references to Israel. Less than a week after the episode at the Polish Consulate, an almost identical incident took place, this time at the French Embassy. British-based author Carmen Callil had been scheduled to attend a reception on October 10 in honor of her forthcoming book, Bad Faith, an account of the Vichy official who arranged the deportation of thousands of French Jews to their deaths in the Holocaust. This event was also canceled at the last moment, apparently because of complaints over a sentence written by the author in the postscript to the book. She wrote of becoming anxious, while researching the “helpless terror of the Jews of France,” to see “what the Jews of Israel were passing on to the Palestinian people.” She continued, “Like the rest of humanity, the Jews of Israel ‘forget’ the Palestinians. Everyone forgets.” Zionist attempts at censorship have a long and distasteful history, especially in New York City. They are not always successful, but not for lack of trying. Just a few months ago the New York Theatre Workshop cancelled its production of My Name is Rachel Corrie, the play about the American student killed by an Israeli military bulldozer in 2001 as she attempted to stop the destruction of the home of a Palestinian family. The production was halted after similar “inquiries” from Zionist circles. My Name is Rachel Corrie finally opened in Manhattan this month and was met with warm responses from critics and the public. The ADL, the American Jewish Committee and other Zionist organizations disingenuously claim they are not part of a “lobby.” That is supposedly limited to the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, the organization whose specific aim is to influence the US government on behalf of Israel. In reality, all of these organizations devote themselves to the defense of Israel and its diplomatic and political interests. They are free to do so, but their attempts to silence their critics and smear their opponents as anti-Semites demonstrate their reactionary character. The censorship attempts have extended onto university campuses. Campus Watch, a right-wing web site established by Daniel Pipes several years ago, has drawn up a blacklist that targets professors of Middle Eastern studies for alleged “bias” because they have dared to criticize Israel and defend the Palestinians. Supporters of Campus Watch have encouraged the sending of hate mail and threats to these professors, along with calls for their removal from their academic positions. The Anti-Defamation League, founded in 1913 to fight against anti-Semitism, has long since betrayed any commitment to civil liberties and academic freedom when it comes to critics—including Jewish critics—of the policies and foreign policy interests of the state of Israel. Even limited opinion polling reveals the growing opposition among American Jews to the decades-long Israeli occupation of Palestinian land, but this doesn’t stop the ADL and similar groups from speaking in the name of all Jews. The power of these unelected spokesmen is magnified many times by their wealthy sponsors and their long-established ties to dominant sections of the corporate, financial and political establishment in New York and Washington. They have succeeded over many years in propagating the myth that Judaism and Zionism are identical, and that anti-Zionism is therefore anti-Semitism. It should be noted that the kind of criticism that Foxman of the ADL says cannot be voiced in New York City is frequently expressed within Israel itself. Israeli newspaper columnists, writers, academics and others spoke out during the recent Israeli aggression in Lebanon. Are they also to be branded anti-Semites and silenced? As Judt himself declared, “This is serious and frightening, and only in America—not in Israel—is this a problem. These are Jewish organizations that believe they should keep people who disagree with them on the Middle East away from anyone else who might listen.” The Zionist organizations involved in such witch-hunting and censorship utilize the issue of anti-Semitism as a red herring. They are really concerned with the foreign policy interests of the Israeli government, and specifically the maintenance of the longstanding alliance between Israel and Washington. The alliance between American imperialism and Zionism was fully cemented some 40 years ago, in the wake of the Six Day War of 1967. Over the past several decades American defenders of the Israeli state have secured the ironclad support of both major capitalist parties, from the most liberal Democrats to the neo-conservatives in the Republican Party and the Bush Administration. Big business politicians have vied to demonstrate their loyalty to Israeli policies, and the occasional maverick who deviates from pro-Zionist orthodoxy, like Republican Congressman Paul Findley some years ago, is usually purged at the next election with the help of millions of dollars in campaign funds from the Zionist lobby. In the recent period, however, public criticism of the existing US policy toward Israel has begun to emerge within American foreign policy and academic circles. To some extent, the feverish campaign to silence all critics of Israel is an expression of the nervousness within American Zionist circles over this emerging policy debate. While the US-Israel alliance has never been closer than during the administration of George W. Bush, there are signs of a possible shift. The disaster facing the US ruling elite in Iraq, along with the deepening external and internal crisis facing Israel, exemplified by its recent debacle in Lebanon, is emboldening those within the American foreign policy establishment who argue that US policy is tied too closely to that of Israel. American Zionist organizations are acutely sensitive to these tremors, hence their attacks on John Mearsheimer of the University of Chicago and Stephen Walt of Harvard University. Mearsheimer and Walt authored a paper earlier this year which charged that the Israel lobby had distorted US foreign policy and sought to intimidate its critics. An article by Mearsheimer and Walt in the London Review of Books was entitled, “The Israel Lobby: Does it Have too Much Influence on US Foreign Policy?” The lobby was defined as “the loose coalition of individuals and organizations who actively work to steer US foreign policy in a pro-Israel direction.” Mearsheimer and Walt articulate the views of a section of the American ruling elite which has concluded that Washington’s virtually uncritical support for Israeli foreign policy has produced a diplomatic and political disaster for US interests in the Middle East and elsewhere in the world. The publication of these views was followed by hysterical charges of anti-Semitism against the authors, who were accused of stoking up anti-Semitic notions of an international Jewish conspiracy. Socialist opponents of Zionism and imperialism do not take sides politically between Mearsheimer and Walt and their Zionist critics. The policy shift they propose, while it enrages the Zionists, has nothing to do with the interests of the international working class or the democratic rights of the Palestinians, and they are opposed to a struggle against both the Israeli and Arab bourgeois elites to unite Jewish and Arab workers on the basis of a democratic and socialist program. We have no hesitation, however, in denouncing the crude charges of anti-Semitism leveled against Mearsheimer, Walt, Judt and similar critics of Israel. There are, of course, anti-Semites among the opponents of the Israeli state, and they repeat the old anti-Semitic slanders. There are also a large number of anti-Semites among Israel’s supporters. Richard Nixon, whose virulent anti-Semitism was exposed on White House tapes in the wake of the Watergate scandal, had no difficulty aligning himself with Israel. Today the Zionists welcome the support of Christian fundamentalists who would like nothing more than the establishment of a right-wing theocracy in the US. As far as the Zionist establishment is concerned, the main enemy is not anti-Semitism, but anti-Zionism. When it suits its purposes, it is perfectly prepared to recognize this vital distinction and “overlook” the anti-Semitism among its own supporters. Hence the warm accolades from the Israel lobby to such figures as Silvio Berlusconi, the former Italian prime minister, who received an award from the Anti-Defamation League in 2003 just days after expressing nostalgic sympathy for the fascist dictator Benito Mussolini. To the extent that anti-Semitism has gained a new lease on life in the Middle East and elsewhere, this is largely the responsibility of Zionism itself. The anti-Semitic pronouncements of such figures as Iranian President Ahmadinejad are essentially the mirror image of Zionist propaganda, accepting the claim of the Israeli state to speak for all Jews and the interests of the Jewish people. In fact, for the first half-century of its existence, Zionism was a distinct minority opinion within world Jewry. Its main opposition historically came from the left—from the socialist and internationalist opponents of all forms of nationalism and chauvinism. The attempt to smear left-wing critics as anti-Semites is one of the most despicable techniques of the Zionist propaganda machine. The current attacks on even relatively mild critics of Israel are a sign of weakness. Longstanding Zionist myths are being increasingly exposed to the light of day. The fraudulent charge of anti-Semitism is beginning to backfire against those who level it. The flagrant character of the Zionist intimidation campaign is such that even some committed Zionists have been forced to question it. The current issue of the New York Review of Books contains a letter entitled, “The Case of Tony Judt: An Open Letter to the ADL.” The letter, signed by more than 100 writers, journalists and academics, criticizes the ADL’s actions in connection with the planned meeting at the Polish Consulate, declaring that “we are united in believing that a climate of intimidation is inconsistent with fundamental principles of debate in a democracy . . . the rules of the game in America oblige citizens to encourage rather than stifle public debate. We who have signed this letter are dismayed that the ADL did not choose to play a more constructive role in promoting liberty.” Among the signers are Peter Beinart, Franklin Foer and Leon Wieseltier, all of the New Republic, one of the most vociferous defenders of the Zionist state. Thank you Nia for not being single minded
Can someone please check my essay ? Outer beauty is very important to women at this day and age. Some women are blessed with it while others have to work on it to improve there outside appearance. The dreaded curse that has best ode up on millions of woman is cellulite. Whether you are thin or curvy, cellulite is a problem. Despite the dimpled appearance of cellulite there are many ways to reduce and minimize it with adequate exercise, a well balanced diet, and a few tricks of the trade massage techniques The reduction and even elimination of cellulite can be achieved with adequate exercise. Women tend to store a high percentage of body fat in their hips and buttocks, unlike the man who pack it on their middle. For example when it comes to working out “several studies note that female, athletes who generally have a lower body fat regularly have less cellulite”. The gluteus is mostly all muscle, which responds to consistent training in order to see visible results in the minimization of cellulite. The mode of exercise that would be beneficial is aerobic, wether it is walking, running or swimming. It should be preformed three to five times a week, for at least thirty to fifty minutes. Next and perhaps the most important to ones exercise agenda is the resistance training exercise program. Resistance training targets the specific muscles that are being worked on, which encourages maximal results. If a woman want to work on her gluteus and thigh the squats, leg press and lunges are great for that. Eating healthy is just as beneficial as exercise, to reduce access fat and eliminate the cottage cheese appearance of cellulite. Watching the caloric intake, and minimizing certain unhealthy foods. Women should reduce the consumption of coffee, fatty foods and alcohol. Cereals such as oats are high in fiber, and are an excellent source of energy. The cereals are a great source of antioxidant for fighting cellulite. For example, “ antioxidant has been shown to increase the rate that the body burns calories”. Reducing cellulite will require to built muscle, and muscles are built from protein. It is essential for woman to have a diet high in protein such as, fish, lean meat, low fat milk, egg whites and nuts. Carbohydrates go hand in hand with high protein foods includes all vegetables, salads, whole grains beads, oatmeal and fruits. So a caloric restricted diet plan to help eliminate some of the underlining body fat should be implemented. Women workout and diet constantly to eliminate the cellulite from their body but they are only fighting half of the battle, the other half is vigorous massage. Cellulite is a hereditary condition that most if not all women have over the age of eighteen. The subcutaneous fat that causes cellulite is stored in the dermis, in order to proceed directly to the source the problem, there are several massage techniques. Using a luffa or a shower brush when teaking a bath can improve circulation, relive muscle spasm, and assist in the reducing the dimpling appearance caused by cellulite. Another anti cellulite massage is cupping. It is an ancient Chinese massage technique, which has been practiced for thousand of years. To perform the technique, “light a candle and insert it into a glass cup to create a vacuum. Quickly move the cup over to the area to be worked on, and remove the candle and invert the cup onto the body”. This form of massage, “ through suction and negative pressure, cupping releases rigid soft tissue: drains excess fluids and toxins, loosen adhesions and lifts the connective tissue and brings blood flow to stagnant skin and muscles”. Massage can fight the battle against the cottage cheese appearance of cellulite
is it common for children to experience orgasms, and how can this affect life later on? First I should clarify that I am a male and that everything I talk about in this question is true. Ever since I can remember I’ve been able to simulate orgasm. I’m not sure how I came across it the first time or how old I was (probably between 5 and 7 tho), but I do remember laying on my stomach and kind of moving around and applying pressure to my private parts against the floor (I have no idea if I had anything sexual on my mind, especially this first time) and working up an intense feeling until a certain blood pressure or something was achieved and I experienced “a very pleasurable feeling” (No erection involved, no touching of genitals). I remember repeating this occasionally simply because it felt good and I didn’t know any better, no idea if it was monthly, weekly, daily. I don’t know if this was actually an orgasm because it’s actually kind of hard to remember that far. Also I don’t think any semen was involved until I was able to masturbate the conventional way. However, if I was to use this technique today I would be able to experience orgasm and semen, so I have to believe that the “very pleasurable feeling” I use to have was actually an orgasm (I know this probably sounds really really crazy for a 5-7 yr old). I do remember my mom watching me do this once (I didn’t have to be naked to do this) when I was little and I basically told her it felt good. She just told me to do it in private and I don’t think she realized I was experiencing “orgasms”. I actually refuse to let myself masturbate in this way now because I’m worried about sexual health problems (erectile dysfunction, possible varicose veins). That’s part of the reason I’m asking this question, and there are also psychological problems I’m worried about (I’ve been addicted to porn at times and anti-social at times, especially with girls, and women now). I am currently college age and I guess the reason I’m asking this question is because I’ve read other similar questions but they usually don’t talk about actual orgasms at this age or masturbation without an erection, and I’m just wondering if anyone knows any information on this or if I should seek guidance. I’m looking for experts or just someone who has firsthand knowledge, but anyone can answer this question. Please no jokesters. Thanks Sorry about the lengthy explanation
Why doen't the US begin using coal to produce oil? South Africa has been doing do for years!? SECUNDA, South Africa -- Every day, conveyor belts haul about 120,000 metric tons of coal into an industrial complex here two hours east of Johannesburg. The facility -- resembling a nuclear power plant, with concrete silos looming over nearby potato farms -- superheats the coal to more than 2,000 degrees Fahrenheit. It adds steam and oxygen, cranks up the pressure, and pushes the coal through a series of chemical reactions. Then it spits out something extraordinary: 160,000 barrels of oil a day. For decades, scientists have known how to convert coal into a liquid that can be refined into gasoline or diesel fuel. But everyone thought the process was too expensive to be practical. The lone exception was South Africa, a one-time pariah state that had huge reserves of coal and, thanks to anti-apartheid sanctions, limited access to foreign oil. Sasol Ltd., a partly state-owned company, built several coal-to-liquids plants, including the ones at Secunda, and became the world's leading purveyor of coal-to-liquids technology. Now, oil prices are above $70 a barrel, and Sasol has emerged as the key player at the center of the world's latest alternative-energy boom. China is building a coal-to-oil plant costing several billion dollars in Inner Mongolia and may add as many as 27 facilities -- including some with Sasol's help -- over the next several years, according to a recent tally by Credit Suisse. In the U.S., the Defense Department is studying coal-to-oil technology as a way to reduce the American military's dependence on Middle Eastern crude oil. And the National Coal Council, an industry association, is pushing for government incentives to help generate some 2.6 million barrels of liquid fuel a day from coal by 2025. That would satisfy some 10 percent of America's expected oil demand that year. The plan would require 475 million tons of coal a year, which represents more than 40 percent of current annual U.S. production. Industry officials believe America's coal reserves are big enough to allow for the extra production. Coal-to-liquids "is not going to replace oil," says Lean Strauss, a Sasol executive who directs the company's overseas energy business. "But it's an important substitute. It is one of the solutions to energy security." In June, two senators from coal-producing states, Barack Obama of Illinois and Jim Bunning of Kentucky, introduced a bill to offer loan guarantees and tax incentives for U.S. coal-to-liquid plants. Sasol has found a particularly receptive audience in Montana's Democratic governor, Brian Schweitzer, who says he carries a lump of coal and a vial of liquefied coal with him at all times. He is lobbying coal companies and others to build coal-to-liquid plants across his state, which has some of the biggest coal reserves in the U.S. Current estimates indicate the world has just 41 years of known oil reserves and 65 years of natural-gas supplies. It has enough coal reserves to last an estimated 155 years, with some of the largest reserves in the two biggest oil-consuming countries, the U.S. and China. It's far from clear, however, that the world would be better off -- economically or environmentally -- by burning more coal to fuel cars and trucks. One problem is that coal-to-oil projects are extremely expensive. A single plant capable of producing about 80,000 barrels of oil equivalent a day -- less than 0.5 percent of America's daily oil diet -- would cost an estimated $6 billion or more to build. Energy analysts reckon that some coal-to-liquids projects can offer an acceptable return on investment when oil is priced as low as $30 or $35 a barrel, though such ventures might require government tax incentives to reduce operating costs. It seems likely that oil prices will stay above that level for a while, but the longer-term outlook is anyone's guess. An earlier flurry of interest in coal-to-oil facilities in the U.S. during the Carter administration in the late 1970s died after oil prices collapsed. Coal-to-oil projects also pose serious environmental questions. When the South African facility superheats coal and turns it into a gas, one of the main waste products is carbon dioxide, thought to be a significant cause of global warming. The Natural Resources Defense Council, a U.S.-based environmental advocacy group, estimates that the production and use of gasoline, diesel fuel, jet fuel and other fuels from crude oil release about 27.5 pounds of carbon dioxide per gallon. The production and use of a gallon of liquid fuel originating in coal emit about 49.5 pounds of carbon dioxide, they estimate. Even some boosters of the coal-to-oil plants describe them as carbon-dioxide factories that produce energy on the side. "Before deciding whether to invest scores -- perhaps hundreds -- of billions of dollars in a new industry like coal-to-liquids, we need a much more serious assessment of whether this is an industry that should proceed at all," said David Hawkins, director of the Climate Center at the Natural Resources Defense Council, at a recent U.S. Senate hearing. Coal-to-oil is one of several promising but potentially polluting technologies that are receiving new attention amid high oil prices. Energy companies are trying to unlock natural gas trapped in shale and other difficult rock formations. They're also tapping oil-soaked sands in Canada and so-called heavy oils in politically challenging places such as Venezuela. Environmentalists fear these new sources will outshine conservation as the way to address the world's growing thirst for energy. In South Africa, environmental groups say Sasol's facilities have emitted huge volumes of carbon dioxide and pollutants, including sulfur dioxide. They say these have caused a host of respiratory problems in nearby communities. Sasol says its emissions of these pollutants are small compared to emissions by other companies' coal-burning electricity plants in the region. Sasol officials acknowledge their facilities emit greenhouse gases and that building more coal-to-liquids facilities around the world "could have potentially significant implications, in the long run, for our commitment to reducing carbon intensity," according to a recent company report on its social and environmental programs. Sasol says it plans to reduce its greenhouse-gas emissions per ton of product by 10 percent by 2015. Sasol and many other coal-to-oil proponents say that future coal-to-liquids plants can be built with newer technologies that trap carbon dioxide and store it, sharply reducing their emissions. To many South Africans, Sasol is a huge success story. The company's daily production now meets about 30 percent of South Africa's transport-fuel needs. The country's 50-rand bank note even features a picture of one of Sasol's plants. Sasol's share price has more than tripled over the past three years. Analysts estimate it earned about $2 billion in the year ended June 30, about 35 percent higher than the year before -- such a sharp rise that South African authorities are contemplating a "windfall tax" on the company. Coal-to-oil technology dates back to the 1920s, when two German chemists, Franz Fischer and Hans Tropsch, developed a process to convert coal into a gas and then use it to make synthetic fuels. Coal-to-oil technology helped fuel the Nazi war machine, which lacked access to sufficient crude oil. International oil companies also experimented with the process but put it aside because oil was cheaper. South Africa took a different view. The country lacked oil, but had enormous deposits of coal, much of which had limited market value because of its poor quality. In 1950, the government set up Sasol as a state-owned company and authorized funding for its first project, a coal-to-liquids facility called Sasolburg in the South African countryside. When oil prices soared in the 1970s, South African officials decided to up the ante. They lent Sasol $6 billion to build two new facilities at Secunda -- each 10 times as large as Sasolburg. The government also privatized the company, listing it on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange in 1979. (The government maintains a 23.5 percent stake). By the time the facilities were completed in the early 1980s, international oil prices were collapsing. The project was nonetheless a success for the white-dominated apartheid government because international sanctions were restricting South Africa's ability to buy foreign oil. The plants managed to stay profitable by continually boosting efficiency and expanding their end products to include plastics, fertilizers and explosives. Besides the government loans, Sasol at various times received cash payments from the government when oil prices fell below a certain level. It eventually paid back the loans and stopped receiving subsidies for its coal-to-oil business by 2000. Today, Secunda is a buzzing industrial hub with 16,000 employees, miles of interlocking pipes and cables, and eight colossal silos. The silos, each big enough to contain a football field, cool steam involved in the conversion process. Fuel trucks wait along the edge of the facility to fill up with gasoline. Nearby mines produce more than 40 million metric tons of coal a year -- as much as all of Illinois. Outside the plant gates, Secunda has a boomtown feel. It has some 35,000 people, a BMW dealership and a multistory casino hotel called Graceland designed to evoke the "grand old age of Colonial America." A growing focus for Sasol is marketing its technology overseas. The company first tried to do so in the 1990s, after apartheid ended, but executives found doors slammed in their faces. Oil was trading for less than $25 a barrel at the time. "We sat in corridors waiting for meetings that never happened because they didn't even know who Sasol was," recalls Pat Davies, Sasol's chief executive. Sasol made its first inroads in countries such as Qatar that have big stockpiles of hard-to-transport natural gas. These countries were interested in Sasol's technology for turning natural gas into liquid fuel. As oil prices began to perk up, Sasol drew interest on the coal front from China, with its big coal reserves and energy needs. In marketing materials produced for Chinese government officials and investors, Sasol offers a simple message: By 2015, 70 percent of China's oil imports will come from the Middle East. Yet the country has coal reserves equivalent to more than half the oil in the Middle East. By 2004, Chinese energy planners began meeting with Sasol executives in Beijing to discuss the coal-to-oil process. That was followed by a series of meetings with policy makers and Chinese companies, capped by a gathering in Cape Town in June attended by visiting Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao. Coal-generated pollution is emerging as a major environmental crisis in China. Yet Chinese officials are apparently willing to accept more coal use if it means improving the country's energy security, especially if local companies can design facilities to use relatively clean-burning varieties of coal. Shenhua Group, China's largest coal producer, has started work on China's first commercial coal-to-oil facility, designed eventually to produce as many as 200,000 barrels of oil equivalent a day. Although that plant uses a different process from Sasol's at Secunda, Shenhua officials are in negotiations with Sasol to jointly build at least one additional 80,000-barrel-a-day plant using the South African company's technique. While Sasol would charge a fee for licensing its technology, its main interest is to share ownership in the facilities once they're built because it wants a share of the long-term profits. In China, Sasol is asking for a 50 percent equity stake in the projects. A Shenhua official says negotiations are going smoothly and the company hopes to begin construction soon. In Montana, at least two companies, including the world's largest private-sector coal company, Peabody Energy Corp. of St. Louis, have said they are looking at potential coal-to-oil sites. Montana's Gov. Schweitzer says any excess carbon dioxide from a facility could be given to oil companies to be injected back into the ground to enhance recovery from old wells. Bringing Sasol on board is critical, says Gov. Schweitzer. He says Wall Street banks want the South Africans to play a role because Sasol is the only company with a track record in the business. To woo Sasol executives, he says, he took them on a flight over Montana coal country last year. "These are the guys everyone wants to take to the prom," Gov. Schweitzer says. Sasol officials say they're interested in Montana and other potential sites in the U.S., provided they can find a suitable partner and receive tax or other incentives. Coal-to-oil "is coming to the United States," Gov. Schweitzer proclaims. When it does, he says, other countries "will be scrambling to protect their oil supplies -- and we'll be energy independent." Coal to Oil technology is a proven fact, used be Germany in WWII and more recently by South Africa during there period of Aparthide. This country needs long term options and this seems like a viable option. -5dollar galon gas may make people demand for solutions at a louder scream

can someone pls rephrase this for me? thanx p3? There are thirty-four states currently enforcing parental consent or notification laws for minors seeking an abortion. The Supreme Court ruled that minors must have an alternative, such as the ability to seek a court order authorizing the procedure. When president Bush spoke at a major antiabortion rally, he endorsed the activists' cause but admitted that their primary goal--making abortion illegal--is not likely to be achieved anytime soon. He added, "A true culture of life cannot be sustained solely by changing laws. We need, most of all, to change hearts.” Bush was speaking perhaps more accurately than he knew. Around the globe, the presence or absence of legal restrictions has relatively little to do with whether women decide to have an abortion. The countries with the lowest abortion rates in the world are Belgium and the Netherlands, where abortion is legal and covered by national health insurance. Those countries each year report seven abortions per 1,000 women of childbearing age. By contrast, in countries such as Peru, Brazil, Chile and Colombia, where law restricts abortion, the abortion rate is about 50 per 1,000 women. Those figures are more than twice that of the U.S (abortionfacts.com). In the United States, nearly nine in 10 abortions occur in the first 12 weeks of pregnancy and 56% occur in the first eight weeks. The availability of medical abortion the “abortion pill,” or mifepristone and new techniques that allow surgical abortions to be performed earlier in pregnancy are likely to reinforce the trend toward earlier abortions. The introduction of a new medical abortifacient, such as RU-486, added some new features in the debate. Unlike vacuum aspiration or curettage, RU-486 does not involve insertion of instruments into the uterus and thus poses no risk of accidental perforation and infection from unclean instruments. Furthermore, it does not require the same degree of technical skills as the surgical techniques used to terminate pregnancy. So, in this respect, a prescriptive method of abortion poses less risk to women than previous alternatives. With the development of mifepristone, known as RU-486 or the "abortion pill," abortion has become innocuous and reliable (abortionfacts.com). This product works 95.5% of the time when taken within the first seven weeks of pregnancy. According to abortion statistics from the Alan Guttmacher Institute, 33% of gynecologists who do not perform surgical abortions say they would prescribe RU-486. In addition to the reduction of risk for pregnant women, it is easier for women to use. Women who have religious reasons for avoiding or restricting termination of pregnancy may use RU-486 after fertilization has occurred but before implantation of the embryo. Clearly, abortion is not detrimental to the health of the mother. The 56% of U.S. women having abortions are in there 20s(Jones RK). The overall abortion rate is 21 per 1,000 U.S. women. Black and Hispanic women have higher abortion rates than non-Hispanic white women do. The rates are 49/1,000 and 33/1,000 among black and Hispanic women, respectively, vs. 13/1,000 among non-Hispanic white women (Finer). Black and Hispanic women have higher abortion rates primarily because they have higher rates of unintended pregnancy. One may ask what is the cost of surgical abortion. In 2001, the average charge for a surgical abortion at 10 weeks’ gestation was $468; but since most abortions in the United States are performed at low-cost clinics, women on average paid $372 for the procedure. Some 74% of women pay for abortions with their own money; Medicaid covers 13% of abortions, and 13% are billed directly to private insurance. Some women who pay for the procedure themselves may receive insurance reimbursement later. There are total of 32 states and the District of Columbia prohibits public funding of abortions, except in cases of life endangerment, rape or incest. South Dakota only provides public funding of abortions when necessary to protect the woman’s life, which is not in compliance with the federal Medicaid statute (abortionfacts.com), Another question one may ask is how safe is it? The risk of abortion complications is minimal when a trained professional in a hygienic setting performs the procedure: less than 1% of all U.S. abortion patients experience a major complication. The risk of death associated with abortion in the U.S. is less than 0.6 per 100,000 procedures, which is less than one-tenth as large as the risk associated with childbirth. (Henshaw) However, 68,000 women in countries where abortion is illegal die each year of abortion complications, and many times this number are injured by unsafe procedures. Between 1990 and 2000, there were between four and 11 deaths related to legal abortion in the United States each year. In 2002, a total of 357 women in the United States were reported to have died of maternal causes. The number of maternal deaths does not include all deaths among pregnant women—only those in which the cause reported on the death certificate is related to or aggravated by pregnancy or pregnancy management (cdc.gov). In developed countries, where the procedure is usually legal, abortion mortality is low 0.2-1.2 deaths per 100,000 abortions. But in developing regions excluding China, where abortion is often illegal, abortion mortality rate is hundreds times higher, 330 deaths per 100,000 abortions (cdc.gov). In conclusion, I feel that a women’s right to an abortion depends on her situation. I feel that if a woman should be able to have an abortion if her health is seriously endangered. I feel that a woman should not have an abortion just because she cannot afford the baby. There are other alternatives, such as adoption. School programs teaching adolescents about safe sex is not enough? Parents must be able to speak freely with their teen about sex at any given time. Abortion does not only affect the teen, but it affects everyone. Everyone has a right to believe in what they feel is right. We must respect a woman’s decision whether you consider it to be wrong or right. America is a country where everyone has the same rights. And one right, regarding bearing children, affect women. But for the anti-abortionists, who will hopefully be a little less narrow-minded and a little more considerate, Every woman deserves a right to choose . This is my research paper. And its due Thursday. I was not sure if it makes sense. So that’s y I asked to rephrase it. You don’t have to do it if u don’t want to. but does it make sence, you can atleast tell me that thanx
Do most of your Mummy friends have similar parenting styles/beliefs to you? Have you ever fallen out with a Mummy friend because of the differences in your parenting styles/beliefs? I am a SAHM, pro-breastfeeding, anti CIO, anti spanking... I am pretty flexible in that I let my little one lead - she eats when hungry, drinks when thirsty, plays when playful, is cuddled when she likes and sleeps when she is tired. She is very rarely away from me and I like it like that. I am still nursing twice a day plus in the night (she is 19 months) and I believe in distraction techniques etc to prevent bad behaviour, rather than punishment for it. I wouldn't not be friends with someone because their parenting styles/beliefs were different to mine (with the exception of spanking - I wouldn't be able to watch/let my daughter watch a child being spanked) but I do find that most of my Mummy friends have similar ideas to me. I have a step sister with a similar aged child, whose daughter is punished constantly on the 'naughty step', left to watch TV for hours on end, goes to stay (alone) with family members each weekend so her parents can go out, is left to CIO and has been for 6 months despite it rarely working, was given baby food at 8 weeks, is never read to etc. She parents pretty much the opposite way to me and though we get on fine, we're not really Mummy friends as we cannot discuss our children as everything to do with them is so different. How about you?
Why in Malaysia the doctor don't allow us to take vitamin and supplement? What do you thinks about this? What are vitamins? Vitamins are substances that your body needs to work properly and keep you in good health. Most vitamins cannot be made by the body, so they have to be provided by your diet in small regular amounts.1 Why do I need vitamins? Your body uses vitamins to do a number of things, including building and maintaining tissues and organs. Vitamins provide energy, boost the immune system, keep skin healthy and help keep the brain and nervous system in good working order.2 Improve Overall Joint Health Without Using Pain Killers Reduces joint pain • Relieve pain caused by inflammation commonly arising from arthritis, joint injuries and everyday aches and pains Reduces inflammation and swelling • Uses potent, natural anti-inflammatory ingredients to reduce swelling Improves mobility • Improves blood circulation and reduces inflammation leading to increased mobility • Nourishes joints and speeds healing Safer for your liver, kidneys and stomach • A safe and effective alternative to traditional pain medications • Uses Boswellia - an herb with pain reducing benefits - as a safe and effective alternative to NSAIDs (Ibuprofen, aspirin and naproxen) Buy Motion for your joint and muscle pain and inflammation .............................................................................................. DRUGS are chemicals that can prevent, prolong the life, treat other effects of a health condition, improve the quality of life, and/or cure ailments and diseases, or alter the function of any part or chemicals inside the body. These drugs have approved therapeutic claims. Drug Side Effects A side effect is usually regarded as an undesirable secondary effect which occurs in addition to the desired therapeutic effect of a drug or medication. Side effects may vary for each individual depending on the person's disease state, age, weight, gender, ethnicity and general health. Side effects can occur when commencing, decreasing/increasing dosages, or ending a drug or medication regimen. Side effects may also lead to non-compliance with prescribed treatment.Medication A medication or medicine is a drug taken to cure and/or ameliorate any symptoms of an illness or medical condition, or may be used as preventive medicine that has future benefits but does not treat any existing or pre-existing diseases or symptoms. (Redirected from Adverse effect (medicine)) In medicine, an adverse effect is a harmful and undesired effect resulting from a medication or other intervention such as surgery. An adverse effect may be termed a "side effect", when judged to be secondary to a main or therapeutic effect, and may result from an unsuitable or incorrect dosage or procedure, which could be due to medical error. Adverse effects are sometimes referred to as "iatrogenic" because they are generated by a physician/treatment. Some adverse effects only occur only when starting, increasing or discontinuing a treatment. Using a drug or other medical intervention which is contraindicated may increase the risk of adverse effects. Adverse effects may cause medical complications of a disease or procedure and negatively affect its prognosis. They may also lead to non-compliance with a treatment regimen. The harmful outcome is usually indicated by some result such as morbidity, mortality, alteration in body weight, levels of enzymes, loss of function, or as a pathological change detected at the microscopic, macroscopic or physiological level. It may also be indicated by symptoms reported by a patient. Adverse effects may cause a reversible or irreversible change, including an increase or decrease in the susceptibility of the individual to other chemicals, foods, or procedures, such as drug interactions. ................................................................................................... Chemotherapy The overall impact of chemotherapy on cancer survival can be difficult to estimate, since improved cancer screening, prevention (e.g. anti-smoking campaigns), and detection all influence statistics on cancer incidence and mortality. In the United States, overall cancer incidence rates were stable from 1995 through 1999, while cancer death rates decreased steadily from 1993 through 1999.[1] Again, this likely reflects the combined impact of improved screening, prevention, and treatment. Nonetheless, cancer remains a major cause of illness and death, and conventional cytotoxic chemotherapy has proven unable to cure most cancers after they have metastasized. As is obvious from their origins, the above cancer chemotherapies are essentially poisons. Side-effects The treatment can be physically exhausting for the patient. Current chemotherapeutic techniques have a range of side effects mainly affecting the fast-dividing cells of the body. The most common side effects include (dependent on the agent):[citation needed] Pain, Erythema, Nausea, Diarrhea or constipation, Anemia,Malnutrition Hair loss, Memo relax...laa..red thin line...I don't talk too much I type too much...so how can I shut down.... I only can off the lap top that's means I sleep...
How did you master the art of attaching & detaching your body and soul with your Ex or new soul & body mates? The context or background of this question is derived from recovery of a breakup that is emotionally and physically draining my life. The affair lasted for 5 months and the breakup is 2 months old as of now. From the body point of view, it is so easy to understand, practise and master the art of having sex with multiple bodies out there during one's life-time. Although morally, a woman would be called a whoore and a man would be called a piimp while doing that. But at least you have some idea how to attach and detach your body from multiple people out there. I know a popular saying that "you'll love again" but frankly speaking, that is a self-deciet that you continue doing physically by having sex with multiple men/women out there until the day you die. Sorry, if that offends you. From the soul point of view, I'm so much confused and it is the daily carnage and blood bath that I'm having with myself deep inside me that is driving me so crazy. Am I giving too much importance to morality, religion, rules of engagement, values of life instead of being myself? Or is there a special combination of strategic efforts and techniques of my soul and body together to become normal again to fall in love with someone else after this breakup? I've read numerous articles, how-tos, books, tips, dating, psychological sessions with psychiatriast, elders' advice, Yahoo Answers, etc. during last 2 months and have even gone to the other side of earth in totally different continents travelling thousands of miles away from her and spending time with my loved ones, family, etc. But nothing seems to work. I don't know why can't I forgive myself for such a deceit, misery, and tragedy of a life-time. I think I had heart big enough to forgive her for the sake of my own kids and her kid/family. By being trashed like this, my soul has been murdered in a daylight and there seems no remorse for me for crimes committed in the name of heart and love. The most stupid, foolish and illogical, yet conclusive thought that seems to come to my mind over and over is to commit suicide. That gives my soul a soothing thought that at least internally, I'll stop bleeding in pain due to my soul being inside a body which was so close to her once upon a time. But then again, suicide over a woman, it is another crazy stupidity after a stupidity of blindly falling in love with someone who was on meds, going through a divorce and having slept with 10+ men out there by the age of 27. Right? I do want to live instead of cowardly committing a suicide but I see no other alternate solution out there except decieving more women out there into "I love you" and ultimately keep on weakening my soul's character and strength. That is what probably happened to her when she continues saying "I love you" to many multiple men out there and seems doing perfectly all right with the combination of anti-depressant meds and physically or morally torturing herself. I simply shiver with such a fearful thought that I'd end up one day exactly like her. I know I'd be called a drama queen or pity party or venting my anguish. I hope you'd give my feelings enough importance to at least share your own thoughts about my situation. I've a belief that we are all ONE being, and simply distributed into different bodies and souls. By addressing you, I'm simply reaching out to someone who knows me very well. I've never wasted a single moment of my precious life before I met her. The thought of her asking me for a hug at the end of our first meeting 6 months back keeps on bothering my mind that how can a mere hug take someone's soul and body away just like that? A few moments later of that hug, when she was walking away, I could not stand on my feet and fell on the bench. She looked back and wondered what happened to me and I was simply shocked, thrilled, excited and what not. She walked back to me on that bench and something started which should have never started. That was probably the beginning of my end (sad). She is right now a stranger to me, who probably cares for me, but does not love me. We've both verbally and physically abused/insulted each other and she has even head-butt my face into bleeding when we were together and I had to slap her for doing that. However, as a man, I controlled the situation from becoming worse by letting her go with her mom. During my obsessive love with her soon after this breakup, she begged me to end my life by committing suicide. I don't know whether I'd again give any serious thought to someone saying to me the usual stuff like "I love you", "All others used me", "You are my hero" and "you have my heart forever". Obviously a mentally stable and healthy person would fall in love only to end up being another trashed victim. Those type of women don't appear as a fling as she'd always show traits of a woman looking for a husband. That is the reason I fell for my Ex (sad). I wanted to have a family with her. But probably things w But probably things went too fast or maybe I did not know how to love a woman. (sad) I tried to have sex with others, but failed miserably. I could not bring myself as low doing that. So, physically, my sex life is also affected. But most importantly, it is the soul that carries so much love and belonging to my Ex that can't live without her. Am I not trying enough or is it too early to even wonder and ask such a question? What do you think?

Do I have a mental condition that maybe unkown of origin? It all started in 2004 and I don't know the root cause of it but I noticed in myself and others have noticed that I sometimes speak out loud when something irritates me and I have taken control of that part and don't do it anymore because I simply don't think of it but occasionally funny shows like family guy and past things that are irresistible to laugh at may cause me to laugh with a whisp of air, I don't laugh outloud or people will really think I am mentally but its actually more air based rather than vocal. I don't do this a lot and I have started taking Omega fish oil because its said to get rid of omega 6 and supply the brain with dha and it actually worked for a former meth addict who had anger and social problems. Becoming easily angry over past things is a sign of a mental problem and I sometimes got angry but also have gained control of that. I don't know if doing data entry and sitting for long periods of time with a clenched jaw affected my brain but I suspect it put extra pressure on my head and i have bought slimtek anti clench for day use and that has helped get rid of the migranes. I also noticed that in 2002 when I worked in shipping and receiving I didn't even think about anything in my head and felt excellent in body and mind because I was consistently moving packages around and I have recently applied for UPS to start the package handler so I can do this on weekdays and on weekends I have security officer job in which I sit down without clenching. For some reason doing data entry affects my breathing and makes me clench, I have to actively remember to keep taking in more air because I see myself yawning frequently even though I got enough sleep and others have noticed it and yawning frequently is a sign of lack of oxygen. I looked up talking to yourself on this website and a lot of people said its normal but don't do it in public, as long as you don't answer yourself you'll be fine. Maybe its having too much energy that causes me to think to much. I have started meditating and noticed the fish oil has given me effects like more focus and less thinking and definately more focused memory. A month ago when I didn't take the fish oil during patrol my supervisor said "is everything alright" because I was pressing patrol buttons that I had a feeling I already pressed with the detox pipe again after walking past it. However now, I know that I for sure pressed it or not and maybe the increased breathing techniques and fish oil improved my memory and focus. I was gonna see a doctor about possible alzheimers at 25 years of age but now I am doing better and will put in my notice at Wells Fargo to stop doing data entry because my whole head doesn't feel right and as hard as I try I see myself clenching my jaw because I have to focus on doing 2000 keystrokes an hour. I can get tuition reimbursement from UPS and won't need the pressure of doing 2000 keystrokes an hour at price of my fingers, jaw and head. This is exactly the reason why I quit NCS pearson, I was making 4000 a month doing overtime and sleep deprived. Corporate security and UPS are best for me because security is mostly sitting and ups is work that gets you fit and healthy. I was raised by an aunt who used to talk to herself alot and these days she appears normal but I had to get away from her when she put a knife on my back with some odd angry weird sort of look but she didn't actually stab me. She used to call her children "You bastar.., lesb..." with anger on her face that you have to see to believe. But despite that she took care of her children and didn't hit them. I heard her alcoholic husband used to step on her head hard back in Somalia. Forgot to mention she also called her own children "Wacalow" which is somali for a child born to unmarried parents but it's more severe when said ni somali. Penny, I should have posted in health and not religious area. This is not for preaching, I am muslim and we are all in this together but in the end we are raised up from the grave alone.
What should I do with my horse? Shoulder problems/possible sale.? I have been having trouble with my horse lately and need to decide what is the right path for both of us. Lucy is a wonderful horse. She is a 2004 Bay AQHA mare by Kay Cee Leaguer. She has a very sweet disposition, loves people, has great conformation, size, looks, and movement. She is foundation bred, 15.2hh, and around 1,100 lbs. She's well muscled and built like a tank. =) However, she has developed a stiff shoulder. Her shoulder problems started about 5 months ago, and they have not progressed yet. She has stiffness in her right shoulder, and the muscles tend to tighten up quite a bit. She has been examined by our vet, who couldn't find any indication of why she is having these problems. All we can figure is that she was kicked by another horse, or somehow slipped in the pasture and damaged her shoulder. The problem was first discovered when our farrier was trimming her hooves, and had to pull her front leg out at an angle to trim her hoof. That's when the stiffness was discovered. I had been out at the barn and ridden her only 2 days before that, and noticed no problems. Whatever caused her problems most likely happened some time in this 2 day time-frame. The owner of the barn where I board always checks all horses over every night when they are brought into their stalls for the night, and did not notice anything. Now the only times Lucy indicated and problems with her shoulder is when having her hooves trimmed or when being ridden extensively. The farrier has modified the way he trims her feet so she isn't in pain, and I have dropped back to riding only about once every 7-10 days, and I just walk her slowly around the arena so that she isn't putting too much stress on her shoulder. She can be ridden harder without indicating that she's in pain, but I don't want to push it. She is completely comfortable when she is doing her everyday things. She can walk, trot, and even canter out in the fields with the other horses. She shows no signs of lameness or pain at these times. I believe this is because she is the one calling the shots. She knows what she can do without causing pain, and she slows down and gives herself a break if she's been pushing it. Only when I ride her and tell her what to do, or when the farrier is pulling her leg out at an angle does she show signs of pain. There is no heat or swelling anywhere, but you can feel the tightness of the muscles under the skin. She is currently on a joint supplement and another supplement for anti-inflamatory. I had an equine massure come out and check her out, and she showed me a few stretches and massaging techniques to use, and I do these 3-5 times a week. I also do a lot of hand walking to help her loosen up. Lucy is currently turned out from about 5 am to 7 pm, and kept in a well-bedded/padded stall at night. I originally bought Lucy to be my show horse. In her current condition, there is no way that I could show her comfortably. She was owned by professional trainers from 6 months to 4 1/2 years, and I have now owned her for a year. She has been shown lightly from the age of 3. The trainer I purchased her from owned her for 1 year before I bought her. He had originally bought her to be his own show horse, but was forced to re-locate because of his job, and had to sell all of his horses. She is bred for Western Pleasure and excells in it. She is also very good a HUS, wins Halter classes, and is almost finished in Showmanship. She is a very sweet, level-headed, kind and gentle mare. She loads, bathes, clips, leads, enters and exits gates, stands for the farrier, is excellent for the vet (for all types of shots, exams, etc), is great for having her teeth done, and even loves her wormer. =) Her only real vices are that she doesn't like being tied short, and she can be a bit mean to other horses when they are first turned out together. However, she adjusts to them quickly and falls into her place in the herd, generally 1st or 2nd in the pecking order. I think she would make an excellent broodmare with her size, conformation, and bloodlines. I can only afford one horse right now. I would love to be able to show, but can't show Lucy with her shoulder the way it is. If her condition does not improve, I cannot show her, but cannot afford to have another horse to show. I would hate to sell her, but cannot justify paying for a horse that I can't really even ride the way I would like to. So here is what I need help with: 1) Any ideas on what I can do to help Lucy's shoulder loosen up? 2) If her shoulder won't loosen up, should I sell her? 3) If I do sell her, what do you think she is worth? Here are pictures of her: http://i472.photobucket.com/albums/rr88/GottaLoveALeaguer/Lucy3.jpg http://i472.photobucket.com/albums/rr88/GottaLoveALeaguer/Lucy4.jpg http://i472.photobucket.com/albums/rr88/GottaLoveALeaguer/Lucy5.jpg http://i472.photobucket.com/albums/rr88/GottaLoveALeaguer/Lucy Thank you very much for all of your input. I am going to keep trying to help her get better. I love her so much and would absolutely hate to sell her, so I am willing to try everything I can to help her improve. Whatever ends up happening, I am going to do what is best for her. And thank you for saying she's a pretty girl. She appreciates it. =) Oh and I have also have her hooves checked by 2 farriers other than our normal one and by the vet, and none of them have found anything with her hooves/trimming to indicate that as a possible cause for her shoulder pain. Thank you, I have been getting some wonderful answers. =) Lucy's problem seems to be a severe muscle pull with unknown causes. The vet and I have been doing what we can but so far it hasn't been improving much. I am going to keep trying to help her. As far as questions on her bloodlines, here is her online pedigree: http://www.allbreedpedigree.com/gotta+love+a+leaguer
can someone please check my essay ? Massage can fight the battle against the cottage cheese appearance of cellulite. thank you !!!!!!

How did you master the art of attaching & detaching your body and soul with your Ex or new soul & body mates? ?
